In the simplest form, a guest user logs on to a free open hotspot, which the home router owner has set up using the World WiFi app. The users’ information is sent to an ad server and enhanced with other publicly available data and geolocation data. The advertisers bid on that user based on campaigns they are running and the ad is sent to Guest User. The Guest User watches a 10-15 second video and receives Internet access. This positive view is sent back to the advertisers’ dashboard. The advertiser knows for certain a highly targeted ad has been seen by a willing targeted guest user. The advertiser finishes this up by sending a token payment to the home router owner.
An excellent way to build the community by adding more home router owners, ensure retention and increase referrals is by using Net Promoter Score as a way to find out what your customer really thinks about you. Used by a wide variety of large corporates as well as medium-sized and some companies, this approach is time tested and has proven results. Everything revolves around asking your customers the “Ultimate Question: Would you recommend World WiFi to your family friends and colleagues? There are many studies showing this is the basic question in a referral economy. Using this question lets you drill down on the different scores and reasons for those scores. We can also use this for communicating directly with our advertisers regarding the effectiveness of the advertising campaigns. And also with the Guest Users to determine if the Free WiFi was worth it based on watching the advertisement.
World WiFi can implement this part of the business model even without blockchain using email. It can also be part of a smart contract. NPS can be an integral part of expanding our community. And monetizing the NPS is the key for higher retention, lower churn, more referrals and growing future revenues.
